Well.... Duh! The man is running for Commander in Chief. That would be a political office, as I recall.

No $#&! Sherlock! Let me see it is a year that ends on a multiple of 2 and it is four years removed from the last election year....oh yes I think they call it a campaign.

Obama has shown his colors by not visiting the injured vets. The only condition was no press allowed. I guess it's not worth it if we can't take any pics for the press eh?

Interestingly enough, there is footage of Obama visiting the troops. Go Google it.

I was referring to his not visiting the injured troops in the army hospital in germany. He was told no press contingent in the hospital, so of course he decided to pass. On july 19 he did visit the troops in Afghanistan with all his press contingent present, not quite the same.

No, there was a judgement call made in Germany. He was able to visit the troops if he went as a sitting Senator and not as a Presidential candidate. It was considered a campaign visit and therefore under a different set of protocol rules. Sorry, try again.

He decided it wasn't worth visiting the troops as a senator, he would only go if he could make a campaign stop of it.

It wouldn't have mattered either way. The Pentagon doesn't allow reporters or press on Landstuhl, so there would be no photo ops in any case.

Exactly. He never intended to be there for the troops, he was only there for a photo op.
