Kore7 says: By a landslide! Bush was named [as worst US president] by 34% of voters, followed by Richard Nixon at 17% and Bill Clinton at 16%....Leading the list for best President since 1945 is Ronald Reagan with 28%, and Clinton with 25%.(All comments welcome.) I'd put him third behind Carter and Clinton. Carter easily the worst. Eh, I didn't think Clinton was all that bad but Ford, now there was a bad example. I confess I don't know much about Ford, but seems most view him pretty much an innocuous non-entity, relatively speaking. Carter absolutely the worst pres. of 20th century. Ford really just a fill-in. Despite Watergate, Nixon's accomplishments were outstanding. Thriving economy, opening up China, relelected "i think, by a larger magin than any president of the 20th century. I have to admit Clinton wasn't that bad, bottom 3 seems pretty low for him. People these polls by their subjective knowledge and experience, not history or real accomplishments. I would actually put Gerorg Bush Sr pretty low. Reagan deserves the perch!!! Do you remember the Reagan era? The only thing that keeps me from holding back is, he isn't really president. Amen Merica! And Amaruca.. I am not 'Curious' as to why you said that... LOL Again. does anyone here really remember the Reagan era? No votes for Lyndon Johnson? I'm surprised. Invictus, only us Geezers even remember him. LOL Merican, you're right I was going to mention Johnson, but I didn't want to kicked out of clipmarks. |
