This is why I believe in acting like you love someone and not just wanting them to trust that you love them. Trust is good, but words followed up with actions are better. Trust can fade, memories don't.

Very, very beautiful. I kept expecting towards the end of the poem there would be a short sentence or two about someone who didn't have a chance to say "I love you" to a loved one because that person didn't come home. It's probably a good thing since that would've brought tears to my eyes.

I had heard something similar to this in childhood, but this poem is much longer, more poignant, and much more real. I noted that it was written 5 years after 9/11, and it really made me stop and think.

Lovely......... because we are mortals, every moment is infinitely beautiful......... Even the Olympian gods would envy us.... If a moment seems ugly to you, you dont see it right....... Of course, there are exceptions. But for every dark moment there is a lighter moment behind it. That is the way of the world........ So live every moment like it was your last...... Make your loved one see how special the moment is.... LOVE. LIVE. Make Ovid jealous......
