Regardless of the reasoning, Saddam Hussein needed to be taken out of power. He was a twisted an evil man who brought death and destruction to everything he touched. He lived in Opulence teaching his followers "might equals right" (thanks Masbury) and his sons to rape, pillage and torture as a method of getting their way. While his people in the mean time lived in squalor and fear. Why, regardless of the reasons, anyone can be opposed to removing that man from power is beyond me. And in this kind of situation you can only answer power with power, This has always been and will always be the only way to deal with rulers of that type.

What a load of B.S.! It was never about Saddam or how many people he killed, Bush and his thugs would care less. I bet you that if Saddam had not invaded Kuwait and thumbed his nose at Bush Sr. the U.S. would not have invaded. It was about control, power, Empire. Saddam was an Imperial proxy gone rogue and he needed to be reign in.

I mean if it is about taking down murdering tyrants why not go after the DPK and Kim? Or take on the Communist Party in China? Nope, them no good, to strong, to risky. Saddam regime was a push over, ready for the picking. Not to mention all the people tortured, murdered and expelled after Saddam went down the tubes.

So tell me, how many lives would you trade f...

I think we (as in the rest of the civilized world) should have taken care of NK and Kim years ago, but now he is very dangerous and possibly has access to nukes and is bat shit crazy enough to use them. And yes the Communist party in China as well, but that is a WW3 situation. Plus the Chinese aren't exactly doing the crap that Saddam did (not that they are completely innocent of crimes against humanity). And yes, you stop them while they are small so you don't end up with another Hitler on you hands. I have family and friends who have voluntarily risked and given their lives for these causes. And whether it was about removing Saddam from power for the Bush administration or not does not mat...

You can spin this all you want, but at the end of the day, bush and his regime are war criminals, and you are a war criminal sympathizer.

In an alternate universe, al gore would be a war criminal president, and you would be outraged at the war and torture...

but being as you are just a simple minded follower type, you'll just regurgitate the rovian talking points while pretending to have morals and values and all the other neo-con bumper sticker slogans.

George w bush deserves a fair, speedy trial.
