One of the biggest problems when looking for a reason for sickness, is overcoming fear of the unknown with enough objectivity, to avoid amplification of symptoms, or entering the search with a preconception. Other times the differences, or the manner in which I have been wrong, has been the most educational.
Big trouble can come for a one disease mind set, when there can be a number of causes for similar symptoms. Still I always wanted to be a Doctor until it became clear I didn't have the dedication to get the Letters. It hasn't stopped me learning. (Mainly as a direct result of personal experience.) I hate Mysteries I know can be solved. Particularly when they involve Life and Death. Very often I've found out the hard way
