I've come across this article before and reading through it again makes me agree with the comparisons even more.

Flags are seen everywhere, as are flag symbols on clothing and in public displays.

"a lover of my Country", more than you, type person. You know, "I love my country more than you" type. The 'our flag is bigger and better than your flag' type fascists. They even believe that god is a fellow fascist. Not that they think of themselves as fascists. Any more than they thought that George's grandfather was a Nazi!!!
