	In a nutshell, for those who may have missed the 'controversy', when the evergreen was erected outside Quebec City's National Assembly, Charest's office issued a statement referring to it as a Christmas tree, then quickly recanted and called it a Holiday tree and finally, 24 hours later and after much angst and hand-wringing, reverted back to calling it a Christmas tree. And there you have it! A perfect example of political correctness gone completely amuck!

Calling a Christmas tree a Christmas tree does not negate Chanukah, Kwanza, Eid or Festivus (a shout-out to Frank Constanza!). A true multicultural, open and inclusive society does not walk on eggshells and does not self-censor itself every step of the way.
