My grandmother smoked for most of her life. She smoked every day that I could remember. And then one day, about two years ago, I went over to her house and she informed me that she quit. Just like that. She acted like it was no big deal....she just quit....? She's 80 years old and still alive today. Go figure? well...you know what they say...it's never too late to quite. good for her! that's amazing. my mom keeps trying, but no success, not sure how my Dad's doing, but his wife smokes, so..... All those methods for quitting smoking are just scams. People quit because they want to quit. it's how my dad quit, its how I quit, and it sounds like how this venerable woman quit. If you ever actually looked in on the statistics of the patch, various medicines, programs, etc you'd wonder how it was possible at all that they'd be allowed to continue. It's all a matter of wanting to quit. Even knowing the health risks, the medical advice, the monetary costs many people still just enjoy doing it. I tried several different methods to quit but all of them failed until one day I just decided I was ready to quit. |
