enbar says: A columnist for the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette discusses a short documentary film showing that African American children as young as three identify whiteness as attractive and blackness as ugly. Also discusses several related studies. Great clip. I agree! Lots of food for thought here. Thanks! This is sad. No wonder Oprah Winfrey, Tyra Banks, other talk-show hosts, and writers of self-help books make a lot of money. Countless people in the world need to be shown how beautiful they are. In 3rd grade, these students, most of them the poorest of the poor, and many of them black, honestly believed that black people were bad. It was heartbreaking. How in the world did you manage to make such a large clip? |
