dorine says: Oprah keeps on giving.....This will make a huge difference in these girls lives and their country. Kudos to Oprah. If only more rich people would invest in education at this level. I just found out that she had gone to an American inner city school and asked what the kids needed. They said iPods, DVD players, etc. She decided to take her money to South Africa. Can't blame her for that. Great! I wish some american Celebs would invest in Cape Verde too What a wonderful message Oprah is sending to the people of S. Africa and to the rest of us. Education plus opportunity are key to achieving a more just, equitable world. She puts her money where her mouth is. I just found out that she had gone to an American inner city school and asked what the kids needed. They said iPods, DVD players, etc. She decided to take her money to South Africa.
