There was a patient that wasn't coming to treatment because they feared that the insurance company would would deny and receiving a bill would push put them to suicide.
On another case the patient made a very serious suicide attempt. I spent an hour of my incredibly busy day talking to the insurance drone trying to get the patient coverage and the drone is still sending for review and possible denial. Anybody that thinks that health care is not in desperate need of reform needs to spend a day at work with me.

Well, there is a kernel of truth in that email; that healthcare reform will destroy healthcare as you know it... in favour of healthcare that is effective, fair, cost-effective and direct between you and your doctor, rather than leaving a greedy-motivated accountant between you and your doctor.

That old system needs to be destroyed; and the health insurance industry that created it utterly gutted, so that something that actually serves customers and their health, instead of investors and their profits is put in place.
