It had all the makings of a public relations boon: High-profile speakers like David Weinberger (who <A target="_blank" href="http://www.hyperorg.com/blogger/2008/09/19/irmc-government-20-and-beyond">blogged from the event</A>), corporate sponsorship, media coverage, and a new auditorium to show off. <A target="_blank" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alvin_Toffler">Alvin Toffler</A>, the author of Future Shock, was even there.
