  Pleads Guilty To Arizona Charges</STRONG></FONT></p> <P class="spip"><FONT size="2" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">DMX entered a guilty plea 
  on Tuesday (December 30) in a Phoenix, Arizona court for charges of animal cruelty, 
  theft and felony possession of marijuana and a narcotic drug. </FONT></p> <P class="spip"><FONT size="2" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">DMX, real name Earl Simmons, 
  is due to be sentenced at a hearing on January 30 where he is expected to receive 
  a minimum of 90 days in jail with no credit for time served.</FONT></p> <P class="spip"><FONT size="2" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">The theft charge stems from 
  an incident in April in which Simmons was arrested for allegedly using someone 
  else’s name and social security number to avoid paying a $7,500 medical bill 
  after receiving treatment at a Scottsdale hospital, while the animal cruelty 
  charges originate from the August 2007 raid on his Arizona home by authorities 
  investigating reports of animal abuse who discovered three dead dogs, guns,
