Throughout history tribes have practiced cannibalism. Many thought that consuming their enemies gave them strength. This doesn't surprise me. Ancients often practiced cannibalism of relatives and enemies. Their belief was that eating dead relatives allowed them to "consume the soul" and as kkcapricorn stated: eating enemies gave them their strength. Many "headhunter" tribes suffered from the human form of "mad cow disease" |
