On a somewhat related note... My brother-in-law grew up in Seattle, then moved to Chattanooga, Tennessee in his early twenties. Soon after arriving he went to a local supermarket and asked a girl working there is they had tofu. She said: "I heard of finger foo, but I aint never heard of toe-fu"
