I found that most issues were given little or no time. Australian elections are centred around policy and spending. (Though Howard became a competent shit slinger near his demise).
That and the firm belief that they are lying and we are telling the truth, when both sides were lying (McCain's party hacks made him overdo it.) People claiming to be religious are spreading lies and think they are doing the right thing, probably because they feel it benefits christianity. Very shallow. Reminded me too much of sorting out problems when a primary school teacher.

The status quo will remain in place for many, many foreign policies and issues, as will the steady demise of the Constitution and true "freedom and democracy". The "War on Terror", US tyranny and predatory capitalism, demand it be so. Till the war and the others are ended and also until common sense rules above religion, all we can hope for is a slowing down of the madness.

I have learned a lot more about Nader this past few months, thanks to Ron Paul and the RP sites, many are pulling for him on them. I have really grown to like him. Some issues I disagree with, but isn't that how it is with nearly every candidate! Good choice.

Ralph is OK but Mike Gravel was an even better choice on the issues.
