I wish more people read and, more important, follow Gandhi, Luther King, Mother Teresa and others like them.
It would be great if our schools put at least the same emphasis in people like them than in the life of "important" warriors.
If kids were showed that moral values were as important as economics. That spirituality is also part of science.

I too have read and reread these quotes of Gandhi's many times. And no matter how many times I read these and the wise profound quotes of other great people I admire I never quite get my fill of them, for no matter how low one's spirits may become at times, nor how helpless one may feel because of the constant barrage of bad news and yet more injustice these quotations, are for me, like touchstones reminding me of our common humanity no matter what part of this planet we may dwell upon.

how very sweet both of you...you should read Gandhi's autobiography...you will realize that Mahatmas are ordinary people like you and me, well, may be like only me, (smiles), but had conquered their ordinary weaknesses, fears and failures and then take a courageous step towards & beyond the unknown...and then, the world becomes a blessed place because of them...
