Nice clip. More people should give linux a whirl. There are tons of live cd's and some really great fully loaded OS's ready for installation a easy use. Ubuntu is the latest craze right now. But I'll tell you a secret, I use Backtrack. It has over 300 pen testing apps already installed!!

i like ubuntu. you can use the install CD to test it out in a way that the OS never touches your hard drive. then if you find you like it, you can install it like i did.

This is a distribution of Linux that boots and runs from a CD and doesn't require any installation to the hard drive at all.  This is a great way to try things out.  The software on a Knoppix CD is pretty representative of what's available in the Linux world.  For instance, it includes OpenOffice which interoperates with MS Office.</p> <P>To create your CD, download an iso image from the Knoppix mirror list:</p> <P>http://www.knopper.net/knoppix-mirrors/index-en.html</p> <P>You're looking for a file with a name something like KNOPPIX_V3.6-2004-08-16-EN.iso that will fill a CD, so it's about 700 MB.  Download the file, then burn it to a CD-R.  </p> <P>Windows is not set with software to burn an iso image by default.  When a Linux install went bad and I needed a new CD, I used the "ISO Recorder" software:
