disenchantedcitizen says: Has the U.S. really become this heartless? Border Patrol agents actually removed bottles of water that had been placed to help prevent these people from dying of thirst. When government agents and our judicial system begin using such a silly and extremely under-enforced law to block humanitarian aid, we have lost the right to call ourselves a humanitarian nation. This goes beyond any form of law enforcement role these agents are sworn to perform. These agents should be ashamed of themselves. Maybe it's a blessing in disguise. I wouldn't doubt that there are people who, knowing about this aid, would go out there and contaminate or even poison the water. Yes, we are just that heartless. When citizens cannot tell the difference between humanitarian aid & a litterbug, it is truly a sad day. Our backwards thinking is exactly what continues to impede our progress with undocumented migrants. Wow jorjor, that's pretty cynical. But it is a very real possibility, unfortunately. Shawna Forde's alleged motive in murdering an entire family was to score some drug money (she succeeded in killing two-thirds). For this, she and her accomplices are said to have impersonated federal officers. There is also an allegation that at least one of her accomplices tried to pull off a similar job in northern California. If there are people who would shoot a 9-year-old girl for the sake of leaving no witnesses (which is the point of view of the arresting sheriff) do you think they would hesitate to poison water? "undocumented migrants."? Humanitarian aid is good. God bless Walt Staton. But they're ILLEGAL ALIENS Mr. Politically Correct. People can't be illegal. No such thing as an illegal human being. |
