I'm the manager at our local PEG station in Clearlake, CA & recently aired Psychiatry Industry of Death. Here's a link to the intro of it on YouTube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FPUHUpfDVgY
& if you watch all the other segments it will take about 2hrs to watch. Everybody should watch this video before taking medication to treat diagnosed mental illness. Also on another note: In other parts of the world what the western world diagnoses as mental illness they see as people who have been spiritually awakened & are ill prepared to deal with it http://www.kundalininet.org/index2.html

Good ol' Oprah had Dr Oz on last night and his take was that nutrition, in many cases, is all that might be necessary to correct various imbalances. But he did note that pharmaceuticals were appropriate and beneficial for many. His major focus, of course was on blood pressure and cholesterol but certainly nutritional imbalances are part of the mental health puzzle as well. But, how many shrinks are gonna prescribe a banana or even ever consider nutrition??

Freud would probably have something to say about prescribing a banana

Wasn't Freud a banana? Just kidding. I think now-a -days there are a lot of conditions that people seem to suffer from. From the way I see some of them, some are genuine and need treatment , others seem to be looking for an excuse for their bad behavior.

"When the new patient was settled comfortably on the couch, the psychiatrist began his therapy session, "I'm not aware of your problem," the doctor said. "So perhaps, you should start at the very beginning."
"Of course." replied the patient. "In the beginning, I created the Heavens and the Earth..."
