Big Brother strikes.

Superparanoia strikes! I have written Britain off of my travel itinerary. I hoped to go again, but, man, the police state is nuts! I had make a connection through Heathrow a few years ago and they are worse than Schipol (Amsterdam). I thought for sure I was gonna get arrested (or disappeared?). The visa stamps I've been hassled about are barely questioned by U.S. customs.

It seems most Western cultures have lost their basic freedoms in the name of fighting terrorism. My sis was leaving to go to Germany for about 2 weeks a few years ago & we were taking pictures of her at the airport & we were approached by airport people & told not to take pics for the same reason. While this is a bit more understandable, do they really think that terrorist don't know what security is like boarding a plane. You can get any of those pictures & info on the internet. I really believe they underestimate the intelligence of terrorists. They may be irrational & have anger issues but I don't think they are stupid.
