Sounds like a plan!

Can I tell you how unfortunate I find this, especially for alcoholics. Being an alcoholic myself, I am saddened that someone may be able to take yet another... something.... and consequently miss the program of Alcoholics Anonymous; a program that has given me a completely different view on life. Spiritually fit and happier than I had ever been, even when I thought i was happy!
On the other hand, if a person is unwilling to give AA a chance, then by all means, use this medication if it can save you from an alcoholic death!

Thank you for clipping this! I had heard of Chantix just in a passing conversation, that it was a new drug to help stop smoking. Hadn't heard anything about the alcohol aspect of it. I really hate to rely on pills for some things, but hey, when you have tried everything else, and nothing works, why not.

Using Chantix for 3 weeks for quitting smoking. It works!!! It also is helping me to lose weight. I hope that it doesn't start to block all pleasrable things.
