Damage control after the Ipoh affair? Regardless, this is indeed good news.

FYI - the ISA (Internal Security Act) allows for detention without trial for up to 2 years, with renewable 2-year detention orders, indefinitely. It has been a continuing blot on Malaysia's human rights record.
