Elizabeth Edwards proves again what a great First Lady she would make as she responds to Ann Coulter's Bigotry and worries not about the campaign but about how the GLBT Community might feel.

That was a most hateful display of Ann Coulter's quest for money.

What Ann said was over the top, but it doesn't touch the hatefulness of the bloggers Edwards hired, fired, rehired, then defended.

That is total bunk and you know it n2.

No, it isn't. Those bloggers he hired said some really vile thing about Christians. But I guess if slamming Christians is okay in your book then maybe it is bunk to you. Ann's joke was aimed more at the fact an actor went to rehab for using the word faggot, which is pretty silly. She just shouldn't have aimed it at Edwards.

He hired them. He never fired them. I know both bloggers personally and they were talking about extremist and not all christians. If you consider hate speech a joke, maybe you need to be in rehab.

So, you do think it is okay to smear Christians. I see.

So, “What if Mary had taken Plan B after the Lord filled her with his hot, white, sticky Holy Spirit?” is only meant to offend extremists? I guess those who believe in God, the Virgin Mary, and the Holy Spirit are extremists in your view? Let me know, because you are the one defending statements such as that.

That was total snark on the blog. Not everything is literal... not even the bible.

And Ann wasn't being snarky? You believe she was serious? I don't think about 90% of the stuff she says is serious, but I still think it was over the top. I see what she was getting at (rehab for saying something offensive? WTF is that? Therapy maybe, but rehab?), but I still think the way she said it was tasteless. So from what I gather, you think it is okay to offend Christians when you are being snarky, but not Edwards or gays?

n2sooners are you another one of those angry white men masquerading as a Christian? Just cause it's the conservative thing to do? Because the majority of your replies on this posting don't even come close to having the mind of Christ.

Are you really defending the ongoing garbage and vile that Ann Coulter spouts on an almost daily basis? She is hateful. Period.

Why are you bullying people with the "offend Christians" line? I don't get it. Ask the Christians being persecuted all over the world with REAL HARM and DEATH, then get your panties in a wad over some blog shyte. *rolling eyes* You people are too much.

Christians are suppose to be out to change the world and practice the teachings ...

I loved what Barbara Ehrenreich says in her best-selling book about the poverty in the United States which underlines what Jmacking said about the political meaning of Jesus, Sooners. She goes to a revival meeting attended primarily by poor people at which the preacher emphasizes going to heaven by believing in the substitutionary atonement of Jesus. She comments:
It would be nice if someone would read this sad-eyed crowd the Sermon on the Mount, accompanied by a rousing commentary on income inequality and the need for a hike in the minimum wage. But Jesus makes his appearance here only as a corpse; the living man, the wine-guzzling vagrant and precocious socialist, is never once me...

Do you even bother to read what I type, or just pretend to do so and then attack me on what you wish I had said? Do you see anywhere in there where I defended Ann? I simply explained what she was going for and said it was over the top. It was tasteless. It didn't work. She shouldn't have said it. Now, show me where the honorable Mrs. Edwards said something similar about the vile filth spewed out by the bloggers her husband hired and defended by claiming their freedom of speech. I don't think it is there. This is just another example of the hypocritic...
