jatfla says: My inspiration of the day! Now on to defeating Charlie Crist. Go Rubio. She probably did this so the democrat would stand a better chance of winning. The Republican Party withdrew it's support for her last night, which is an amazing development and speaks very highly for the integrity of the party. Don't you think that the majority of her supporters will go to Hoffman? I heard a commentator say that that portion of NY is very 'red'. Why would they go to Hoffman? They may, I don't know. But why would they? Hoffman is a conservative/libertarian and Dede Scozzafava is a leftist progressive. By her dropping out, there is a potential that the ideological shift will go to the Democrat. Unless the people of New York are so stupid that they were voting for the (R). Makes me sick. I'm sure many were voting for the R since she was being backed by the republican party. I think it is too little, too late for the party as far as saving face goes. The local party may pick the candidates, but the national party needs to take a close look at those candidates and not spend money on those (like Arlen Specter) who don't support a vast majority of the party's platform. That doesn't mean they should be throwing their support behind third party candidates, but it does mean they shouldn't spend a dime on RINOs or be backing the more liberal candidates in republican primary elections. Lookie, lookie..Jatfla, the (R) is endorsing the (D). As did Powell for Obama....but we all know the reason why that happened but are not allowed to say the words. How that man played such an influential part in the GOP Administrations is mind-boggling to me. I know...not to you will. I am learning to to take people at face value. |
