					</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>新造船価をめぐる海運各社と造船各社による駆け引きは、長期戦となる様相を帯びてきた。鋼材値上げを理由に造船側が「船価は下げられない」と主張するのに対し、先物納期を理由に海運側が「慌てて発注する必要はまったくない」との構えをみせているため。鋼材価格交渉の行方と海運マーケットの動向をにらみながら、新造船価をめぐる神経戦が活発に展開されそうだ。(1面参照)
「最近、アフター・ファイブの付き合いも増えてきましたね」
造船某社の営業部長はそう話す。鋼材価格交渉が決着するまで船価の見積もりが困難なため、開店休業と見られていた造船各社の営業が予想外に忙しい。鋼材値上げ後の新造船価をにらんだ駆け引きは、水面下で始まっている。
船価交渉の前哨戦ともなる造船と鉄鋼の鋼材価格交渉は、厚板でトン当たり2万円と鉄鋼サイドが過去最大の値上げを要請。これに対して造船側の反発は強く、鋼材交渉も長期化が予想される。年度をまたぐのは必至の情勢。
鋼材値上げを織り込むことになる新造船価交渉も長期戦の様相。海運側は「船価は上げてくるでしょう」と造船側に一定の理解を示しながらも「納期が先物なので、慌てて発注する必要はまったくない」と異口同音に話す。
日本の主要造船各社の間で比較的早い納期は12年だが、12年船台もかなり限定される。中心となる納期はむしろ13年。「5年後納期の船台に無理して発注しません」(海運大手役員)
鋼材が値上げされればコストが膨らむ造船各社は「船価を下げなければならない理由がない」と口をそろえる。背景には豊富な手持ち工事量(新造船受注残)がある。
新造船価をめぐる駆け引きは長期化するのかしないのか。均衡は何をきっかけに破れるのか。海運・造船関係者の神経戦はしばらく続きそうだ。
