Eddings' books are my "comfort food" of reading. I've found them eminently re-readable, so that when I want to read something just to fill time (like when I'm reading to fall asleep) I grab an Eddings volume, because I've read them all so many times that It doesn't matter if I drop off and miss some of the text - I know what happened. I actually wore out one of the "Malloreon" hardcovers.
