“I absolutely love the man.” The margins are sky-high: a T-shirt that costs between $5 and $7 will retail for $15 to $25.

“There has never been a better time to be in this business,” he said. “My biggest concern is running out of merchandise. You can’t give Bush stuff away at the moment but anything with Obama’s picture on it is walking out of the store.”

The market for Obama products, added Mr Warlick, has been worth as much as $250 million since the start of the campaign

Messiah rules... on t-shirts... we'll see how well he rules for real pretty soon. What's the expression? Oh yeah - people are sheep... and in undying words of great Forest Gump - 'stupid is as stupid does'... or was it his mom? Regardless, seems like all of the above is true.

The saddest part is that other than the retail (ie-low paying) jobs this temporarily creates, all the crap Americans are gobbling up was made in China.

So, once again, a "boon" for USA equals wealth in China.

@tanyamm - he's got his chance. What he follows - he was fully aware of, so that's going to be an extremely cheap excuse, considering he knew and still chose to pursue... after all 'yes, we can' means 'yes, we can'.

The problem here isn't with giving him a chance or not, but with this obsessive compulsive approach to someone who has NOT done anything, granted YET would be in order as well, but still. He has NOT!

And he will have his chance, in a matter of weeks (to start it), then we'll revisit later and see.

As for whether he can? Of course he can and he should, IMO... the question is will he?

gemfemfox is right on the money - we should divorce from China in a major way, we should throws bums like Dodd and Frank and every other bozo that was responsible for Fannie/Freddie etc. debacle, out of the office and as a minimum never let them anywhere near the government, and as a maximum investigate and prosecute them if it so merits. Yes, dump Blago and yes, dump Emanuel if involvement was in play. Clean the house! Both of them and thoroughly!

After all, we have the same citizens with same abilities and capabilities we had when the economy was booming. If that part hasn't changed - I see no rea...
