I remember that book - it was pre porn - those drawings were about as good a look at anything.

I can't believe people still pay ot any mind.

What is amusing is how amazingly radical public sexuality has changed. I actually considered once becoming a nun due to a NDE experience I had at a very young age Tany, but OMG that wouldn't have worked too well (or maybe it would have who knows?)
Seriously, there was the whole issue of celibacy and that wasn't viable, and I could go on about this, but suffice it for me to say that sex isn't really about sex for me. It's about a deep emotional/physical connection on a level that is almost spiritual. That, along with my orientation has a lot to do with my bisexual nature because at least for me, I find that connection much stronger with women.
May I ask why celibacy works for you? I find it an interesting concept and many might find it more pure in ...

@ian and debby. I became vegetarian the first time I saw a Hustler close-up picture. Ugh. But even today I dream of bacon. Luckily most the meat I taste these days is still full of life.

As to celibacy, I recall Socrates expressing gratitude for the diminution of his sex drive, of the latter he described it as like being chained to a lunatic. My own feeling is that it is neither celibacy nor sexual activity per se which are important but how they are located within the full constellation of your being. (I can envisage my own potential future celibacy in the context of my completion: neither celibacy nor sex are in themselves good. Or bad).
