DUTCH WEENIES refuse to throw out BLASPHEMY LAW

The decision follows a high court ruling earlier this year, in which a man was found not guilty of insulting an entire group of people on the grounds of their religion by hanging up a poster with the text ’stop the tumor that is Islam.’

A majority of MPs had wanted the blasphemy law to be repealed. Hirsch Ballin agreed to do this and to amend the discrimination legislation to make it a criminal offence to insult groups of people instead.

The Telegraaf reports that Hirsch Ballin now feels it would not be appropriate to cancel the blasphemy law because discrimination legislation is ambiguous and open to different interpretations. DUTCH NEWS

Perhaps they don't value freedom of speech. In any case the accused should have the right to face his accuser in court. If god doesn't show up or appoint an attorney on his behalf, the case should be dismissed.

In fact it shouldn't be a crime even if he shows up unless said god can prove slander or libel.

Otherwise, case dismissed.

For one of the most liberal, tolerant countries in Europe, to criminalize freedom of speech is frightening.

Wilhelmus Simon Petrus "Pim" Fortuyn

Holland's flamboyant gay immigration reformer had been gunned down on the verge of what later proved to be a major electoral breakthrough

When reports emerged that the leftwing lawyer who had shot Fortuyn was an animal rights activist, the European Establishment breathed a sigh of relief. The gunman was just some animal rights loony. Vilification of immigration reformers had nothing to do with it.

Whew!

Well, guess what? The assassin, Volkert van der Graaf, finally made his confession in court this last week. And—what do you know! – [ur...
