zasel says: I am beginning to believe that George W. Bush is sociopathic. After knowing that the story of the Gonzalez bed side harassment of former Attorney General Ashcroft, and all the other evidence piling up against this man, Bush can actually stand there and say that Gonzalez has done nothing wrong and that the Democrats are engaged in political Theatre. This is a truly disturbing situation that goes way beyond politics as usual. I can understand if Bush tried to spin the bedside visit to Ashcroft, but to just ignore it as if it had never happened, and to say he did absolutely nothing wrong demonstrates a complete lack of comprehension between right and wrong. But then again, why am I surprised. This is a man who claims to always be on the side of life and yet officiated over the largest number of executions in any state, including that of a retarded man and a teenager. He also is capable of discussion the carnage in Iraq with a sickening smirk on his face. This man is terribly sick. I see this Administration as the modern equivalent of Space Invaders. The President is little ship at the bottom, moving side to side trying to shoot down his critics and Gonzo is his last shield. Doe she shoot through him or hide under him? Bush has played the American public from the beginning. He is full of himself! I see nothing wrong with a President that is sure of himself but to be so full of yourself to the point were everyone else is wrong and only you are right . Thats a little extreme! Hoping I don't open a can of worms but were was the plane that hit the Pentagon?I didn't see any parts on the ground...nothing...no wings...no tail...food for thought. The President is little ship at the bottom, moving side to side trying to shoot down his critics and Gonzo is his last shield. This is a great analogy and summarizes exactly why Gonzales has not been fired yet and won't be fired...barring an utter political meltdown at the White House. Or maybe it is just the fact that no one did anything illegal. Then why stall...give the Congress what they want...bury them in paper and by the time the wade through all of it it be 2008 and Bush is out of there! Why should they bow to the congressional witch hunt when they did nothing wrong. If there was something there at all, if they showed one single investigation into a republican that was halted because of the firings (about the only reason I can think of the firings would be questionable), then I would be right there calling for his firings and supporting further investigations. I don't particularly like Gonzo anyway, and the only reason I think he shouldn't be let go is because that is exactly what the witch hunters want. But without anything like a suspended investigation, then there is no wrong doing here and it is nothing but politics at it's worst. |
