He made sure that I started out with Cat's Cradle and if I liked it which ones best to go to next. So, after learning about "Ice 9" and meeting Kilgore Trout I was definitely "hooked". There was of course, Player Piano, Breakfast of Champions, Slaughterhouse 5, and the rest, but probably to me the quintessential book of his is/was and perhaps always will be was the "Sirens of Titan".

I loved how he could use science fiction to make such wonderful social commentary. The last book, I must admit that I bought was "Slapstick".

Anyway wildcat, thanks a million for facilitating a sad, but wonderful trip into my youth. The cry was worth it.
