Lost in translation?
When the Tutankhamun exhibition was last in London during the 70s there was a story told, purportedly true, of a Black Cab (taxi) driver who picked up an American fare at a upmarket hotel in the centre of town who asked to be taken to: "Toot'n-Kahmen".
After a drive which to the fare seemed rather long, the cab pulled up next to a swathe of green - a park no less.
"What's going on driver?" the American demanded to know.
"Well Guv' you're 'ere; this is it; Tooting Common."

Tooting Common:

He definitely looks more handsome in latex....
