arifsali says: Critics have given this movie some awful reviews. Critics give a lot of M .Night's movies bad reviews, and I have found that I enjoy most of them. I have my reservations about this one however, given the R rating, and the previews I have seen, it seems he has given in to the idea that today's movie-goers want to actually SEE the gore and not just experience the suspense a la Hitchcock, and it was that he was more like Alfred Hitchcock than Rob Zombie that I liked his style so much! Ah well, I guess I will wait to see this one on DVD. I have liked all of his movies (except I haven't watched the Lady in the Water). I think he suffers from his too much popularity of Sixth Sense otherwise he would have grown on his own as a fine director. In my opinion, critics are ful of shit, overpaid and lazy. I like 99% of the movies I see and of the 1% I don't, 50% of those I rewatch for making fun of them. Critics (people paid to watch movies and give opinions about them) are deluded, pompous, self-absorbed, pedastle-mounted spouts of nonsense. They serve no real purpose and are created wholly to direct the masses on where to spend their money. If you are one that follows critics you may want to examine your own sheeple factor and take a close look at your gullability index. No pop for crictics... lol, I only follow Roger Ebert, he gave a good review. Yes, skwirlinator, you are brutal. But damn right about critics and manipulations with mass conciousness. His movies are okay, but some of them are just weird... like Lady in the Water... This one looks promising though. |
