                   Two
      men attempted to rob the owners of the Bombay Jewelry and Fashion store
      at 6881 Backlick Road. The incident took place on Wednesday, October 24
      shortly before 8 pm. One of the owners, a 72-year-old Mclean-area man,
      exited the rear of the store to move his car, when the two suspects
      approached him. One of the suspects struck the victim in the head and
      forced him back inside the store at gun point. Once inside the store, the
      suspects demanded gold and jewelry and made both victims lie on the
      floor. The second victim, a 68-year-old Mclean-area woman, was able to
      activate a silent alarm. This action was apparently noticed by one of the
      suspects who then notified his accomplice. Both suspects fled out the
      rear of the store without any loot. The first victim was not seriously
      injured.
