Reminds me of the Nanobots fromthe show "Red Dwarf". (British sci-fi comedy) Wow! I wonder what the service life of these things is; perhaps one day everyone will have a few hundred in their blood vessels, doing repairs, etc. Very cool. Reminds me of Cyborgs, still can't whinge, the line is thinner, and we should be alright if we maintain our identity. I'm sure there the term 'robot' is a bit anachronistic, (as cyborg), perhaps they should allow a definition that will let us see it with a new eye. Yet, things like that are bound to get excellent 'nick names' that stick, besides, A rose by any other name. The rate of development suggests, that we will be able to see less deep into the future as time goes by. As is also said. "Life is Full of surprises." Makes sense not to peg plans that are too long term. We don't have a Navigator. Just thought, No matter how much things change, we'll always have cliche's Ok, and what happens when the robot is done. Does it get snapped up by the bloodstream? Great Discovery!! Can we see a picture of this robot ? I want to see the robot its self... Hi friktioner, Here is a link for you where you can not only see the robot, there is also a short video where you can see the 'guy' in action http://www.engadget.com/2007/09/04/heart-muscle-tissue-powers-new-body-roaming-robots/ Diamond Age is approaching. Cool... Really cool. It reminds me of the book Prey by Micheal Crichton. Anyone interested in this thing should read Prey. I does have some bad language though, to say the least. So if you're not old enough, do not read this book. |
