Not only freethinking, but the importance of truth as it pertains to debate.

A great distinction. I use the term "free thinking"--the once heralded lynchpin of liberal logic--to highlight the attitude of a press that now brushes aside news it deems inconvenient. Of course truth is, as you point out, of the highest import.
