If not, then it sounds pretty sick and twisted to me, and even if the answer is yes, it still seems like they enjoy the killing part just a bit too much. They don't need to kill them to control the population. They have giant vacuum trucks to "relocate" them. Or they can be used as food for other animals (hawks and the like). And they are essential to the health of the prairies. The turn the soil, control the grass (which can catch on fires destroying thousands of acres) and as bignosemousie said, they are key to the food chain. |
