A prayer for his "long life" still adorns the website of the Foundation to Preserve the Mahayana Tradition, which has 130 centres around the world. This reminds me of the story of Krisnmurti who turned his back on the system that was setting him up to be some kind of avatar. I can't recall the story very clearly as I read this many many many years ago. |
