Not that Bush has reached the level of monstrosity that was Hitler (why I agree with you) but in comparing the world's worst leader with the worst leader of its time (where I disagree). The biggest problem with the complete vilification/monsterfication of Hitler is that it dehumanizes him. By turning him into a monster he becomes an outlier, a "special case". I remember when I watched Leni Riefenstahl's "Triumph of the Will", the Nazi propaganda movie. What really stood out for me was just how common and everyday Hitler was. But he is a war criminal at the very least, and my greatest wet dream is to see him, Rummy and Cheney (along with a few others) dragged before the Hague and put on trial. Bush et al started an illegal war. He lied to the country and the world to do it. He has used weapons that have been condemned the world over. Hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqis have perished. Well over 3,000 of her heroes have died. Tens of thousands have had their lives shattered due to horrific injury. The list goes on and on. Is Bush as bad or worse than Hitler? I really don't care. I just know him for what he is, and he is... When so many people comparing Hitler and Bush, shouldn't this be a reason to begin thinking about ? I mean if only the Germans had thought about that on time, how many lifes could have been saved ? How many people must be killd by the USA Luftwaffe until someone stops it ?
