Israel and especially the IDF is underwritten in it's entirety by the U.S. taxpayer. That is why the orthodoxy on Israel must be maintained at all cost. If the U.S. pulls the plug on the IDF, they would lose their dominance over the region and be forced to negotiate in good faith.
