A US federal appeals court acknowledged last year that the jurors' use of the Bible amounted to an external influence prohibited under the US Constitution, but nonetheless upheld the death sentence. Meanwhile back at the government municipal building, 3 elderly women were flogged 20 times for trying to exhibit a copy of the ten commandments on the ladies room wall. Where are we? Breaking the shackles of superstitious bullshit is where we should be at. We obviously haven't moved on. Apparently convicting him based on the law wasn't good enough. It is the law that makes our treatment equal and fair, not which religious club he or his jury belong to. The judge in this case should be disbarred. |
