cpltaiji says: Does anybody understand the reasoning in this? Am I just too dumb to see it? Uh........don't answer that! You don't have to cross traffic making right hand turns. You can also make right hand turns at red lights. I can see certain situations where this could help, like having to make a left hand turn across a busy street, but I can't see it being efficient all the time. It's an anti-NASCAR conspiracy. Acceleration from a stop uses the most gas because it takes more power to get a car going than to keep it going. If you take only right hand turns, you almost never have to come to a complete stop. That is what saves on gas. Speaking of NASCAR.. anyone see that new reality show with "stars" racing cars??? William Shatner is in it I'm still not sure exactly what saves on gas, but I imagine not having to cross active lanes of traffic at stop signs and being able to take rights on red helps as well We discussed this clip on today's Clipiversity video podcast. Thanks for the great clip! |
