The USA has very mixed up rules for it's elections and some inherent double standards.

Sometimes it depends how you do it or who does it.

I've been to campaign rallies with great barbecue of chicken, hamburgers, hot dogs, roasted pig, mutton stew, mounds of salads, salsa, chili, chips, guacamole, soft drinks (paid bar for those who want it, with cheap prices), live music and everything....but if a candidate was to personally hand me an avocado it would be against the law.

Cash donations equally crazy. People have a limit of $2,500 but somehow millionaires can give much more (often by going to special fundraising dinners that cost $50,000 a person) or some lobbyist "bundles," the cash, or ...

To be sure, for every law there is a loophole. And, as mentioned in the clip, all sides suspect the other of cheating and although that excuse for cheating yourself would be considered unethical in taking a test in school or something - some see politics like war and all's fair in love and war.

Politics is like war...or maybe like a boxing match where people fight with gloves on (for the most part). But this election in the USA could easily decided the life or death of hundreds of thousands of people, or more.

I'd rather hunt down the cheaters, myself; that's also part of the battle.
