chara says: A government's respect for human rights must be measured not only by how it treats its own people but also by how it protects rights in its relations with other countries. 2009 is the 60th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Hi chara, Good article, now to figure out how to get the countries not mentioned to take action. Government sanctions, boycotts, joining ranks with other sane countries for mind over matter, brains over brawn solutions. As long as we allow madness to rule us, all of humanity is in danger. 99 out of 100 people who try to control others, in any area of life, will abuse that power. It is our responsibility to find that 1 person of sane mind, to be part of that group we choose to have govern us. hi chestnut, gonna mention them countries...thatz "ubuntu", african justice, The "naming is shaming" campaign (in reference to naming South African teachers known for raping school children) can be seen as ubuntu...letting the story be told, justice has many forms. naming countries seems necessary but insufficient*; they know who they r. mapping, linking, relating, archiving, even that is insufficient. when i saw that prezziedent obama's father was Kenyan, i cried my tears of hope. he returned there to ask the stories, find out about his father, learn an african way. merci pour la popz xczzz |
