It's so magical. My grandmother tells me stories about the snow being head high every winter's day when she was little.

Wow! That must have been a really bad winter. I can't even imagine how cold it would have to be to freeze Niagara Falls. I hope I never have to experience that.

adamc, I mean no disrespect to you or your grandmother, but alas I am unable to refrain from telling you and others here about a cartoon a saw a few years back:

A father was holding his little boy's hand outside one day during the winter. He said to his son, " you think this is bad, why way back when I was a small boy the snow used to be up to my chin all winter long".

The cartoon shows the small boy next to his very tall dad, and there is the little boy standing in snow up to his chin
