lollipop10 says: Any thoughts Infowarrior? It's Microsoft right? My initial thoughts are trust it as you would Google, which is to say not at all. Yup, it's Microsoft. Not sure that it matters too much, but i have been using Scroogle. It's just not as....i don't know--pretty? lol Yeah, there is that but its an independent. so initially it wont be as slick, don't forget that Fire fox and opera both started in similar conditions though. Google now uses flash cookies that don't even get recognised by most cookie filters and don't expire until 2038. Supposedly Microsoft are to be using something similar. If you want to get rid of those I found a free add on for Fire Fox called "Better Privacy" as normal methods like clearing the cache don't work with these new cookies. Available here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/6623 On my 1st use of it it removed 127 flash cookies that don't show up when I use other "cookie cleaners" Well i'm pretty new to the computer, really. Only really been using it for about 3 or 4 years now, so i didn't see Firefox, etc., when they first started. I added Flush after someone clipped something about flash cookies, and it clears a lot. I had never even heard about them. Flush seems to work, do you think the Firefox add-on is any better? No idea, I haven't used Flush. But I will certainly give it a go. No, i don't think so. Check Mona's clips. She has one that says "C is for Cookies" and it has a big picture of Cookie Monster. |
