sillysam says: We hope that the choice of Palin also signals a decisive turn toward a campaign theme of fighting for the middle class. McCain and Palin can and should say that they will fight to protect Americans from our foreign enemies, to stop liberal excesses, and to reform dysfunctional institutions. They should not accept the portrait of middle-class Americans as hapless victims that so many of the Democratic speakers this week portrayed; but they need to show that they share middle-class frustrations. Strength in foreign policy; reforms of taxes and health care geared to the middle class; and a moderate social conservatism: It’s a potentially winning message, and now Republicans have a ticket that is suited to it. I keep having to laugh at those pointing out her lack of foreign policy experience. If someone has a problem with her foreign policy experience, how can they justify voting for Obama who has no more foreign policy experience than Palin does? Which is worse, no foreign policy experience at the bottom of the ticket or at the top of the ticket? keep having to laugh at those pointing out her lack of foreign policy experience. If someone has a problem with her foreign policy experience, how can they justify voting for Obama who has no more foreign policy experience than Palin does? Which is worse, no foreign policy experience at the bottom of the ticket or at the top of the ticket? That's the WHOLE issue in a nutshell. Obama has ZERO foreign policy experience and was clever enough to pick Joe Biden to make up for his own shortcomings. He saw it as an achilles heel and figured he better cover it quick. No surprise there. Now McCain chooses a female VP with ZERO foreign policy experience and the left slam h... Because I live in Alaska I know for a fact that she deals with foreign countries all the time. The new gas pipeline is going through Canada. We sell South Korea most of their coal and Japan gets some of our oil. All these countries have had to negotiate with Alaskan Governors over the years. Great she can't cut a coal deal with Vladimir Putin and Ahmadinijad, wonderful. LMAO. The fact of the matter is that this shows that McCain has put a premium on decision making and has discounted experience. Decision making apparently is what qualifies someone to be one heart beat away from the Presidency. Forget that two months ago Palin commented that she doesn't even know what the Vice President does. Given that, Obama is the by far the best candidate because he knew that the war in Iraq was being sold to us with a pack of lies. Because the war was sold to you with a pasck of lies Obama is the best candidate for President. Nice logic No. Obama recognized the fact that it was a pack of lies and publicly denounced it as such. His superior judgment makes him the best candidate for President. One day you will understand the English language. Obama wasn't even in the Senate. He didn't recognize zip. And the war wasn't sold to anyone as a pack of lies and the fact that he believes that is proof that he is a just another liberal. And the liberal candidate is never the best candidate. Who gives a flip whether he was in the U.S. Senate. He was in politics and in the Illinois Senate. There were huge political ramifications. So huge that others threw the truth under the bus to protect their political careers. It took great judgment and great courage. I was attacked daily by people around me at work and in my community for being un-american and un-patriotic for not supporting that BS war. And when the smoked cleared I was right. The war was a pack of lies. There were absolutely no weapons of mass destruction at the time. The U.S. citizentry was fear mongered into supporting the war. Bush and Cheney withheld information that contradicted the claims they were making. Recently... |
