It frustrated me that people were so dumb until I realized that most of us overrate humans. Most are dumb. Not just because we didn't learn anything relevant at school, we also didn't have our imagination/creativity developed.

Right you are. If you can stop a society or its people from using their inherent creativity, if you can mute their ability imagine and think outside of the accepted paradigm, you can foist the nanny state upon them and the will thank you for being their god.
