Sometimes I've found if people are overestimated, they can be flattered enough to try to live up to expectation. There are many things that few people understand, but I would rather try and understand, than believe I can't without a look. Sometimes it can be a matter of making it seem interesting, and finding the right way to associate it with what is already known. It is amazing the things people can understand if they find the right translation. As there are differences between people there are different approaches, but often it can take a few angles before the right one is found.
